Heads Up Technologies Acquires ALTO Aviation

Amalgamation and Capital

Heads Up Technologies, Inc. (HUT), a leading provider of proprietary aircraft lighting and cockpit and cabin electronics, has acquired Sterling, Massachusetts-based ALTO Aviation (ALTO), a designer and manufacturer of high-end OEM and aftermarket audio and cabin management systems for the business aviation market. HUT is backed by JLL Partners, a New York-based private equity firm.

ALTO president and CEO Don Hamilton, stated: “This acquisition marks the next exciting chapter in our journey. The partnership with Heads Up Technologies allows us to continue providing customers with high-quality, innovative products and makes for an exciting combination of solutions. With the support of HUT, we look forward to a future of groundbreaking innovations and setting new industry standards,”

Heads Up Technologies CEO Renée Rump set forth: “We are thrilled to welcome the ALTO team to Heads Up Technologies. The combined product offering will allow us to better serve the critical needs of OEMs and operators across the aviation industry. ALTO’s premium audio and cabin management products complement our portfolio of innovative solutions and expand our growing presence in the aftermarket products.”

Founded in 1985, Heads Up Technologies is a designer and producer of lighting, cabin management systems, and cockpit electronics for the business and commercial aviation industries.

Founded in 1997, ALTO Aviation specializes in the production of premium cabin audio solutions and cabin management for a wide range of business aircraft types.
