Bombardier Delivers 100th Challenger 300

Jet Entered Service In January 2004

Bombardier announced Monday it has marked a major milestone by delivering its 100th Challenger 300 business jet manufactured. Representatives of Gutmen Investment Corp celebrated the occasion with Bombardier executives and employees during a brief ceremony at Bombardier's Montreal-Trudeau International Airport facility.

Since entering service in January 2004 with Bombardier's fractional ownership operation, Flexjet, the Challenger 300 aircraft has become one of the most popular jets in business aviation. Billed as the first true super midsize business jet, the Challenger 300 delivers transcontinental range, superior long-range cruise speed and a comfortable, eight-passenger cabin.

Bombardier reports that over the past 12 months, the young Challenger 300 aircraft in-service fleet is already achieving 99.5 percent reliability.

"The Challenger 300 aircraft is an enormous success," noted Jahid Fazal-Karim, senior vice-president, new aircraft sales, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Achieving this milestone within less than 33 months highlights one of the most successful introductions of any new business jet."
