Rise Aviation Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For New FBO

Currently Rise Aviation Operates Four Hangar/Office Facilities At NTRA

Rise Aviation held a groundbreaking ceremony May 3, 2021 for its new FBO Terminal at North Texas Regional Airport (KGYI) in Sherman/Denison, TX.

Owner George Schuler along with Kelly Cannell and Mike Livezey of Rise Aviation were joined by Grayson County Judge, Bill Magers and County Commissioners, Bart Lawrence, Phyllis James, Grayson County Regional Mobility Authority Board Members, Robert Brady and Bill Benton along with elected officials from both Sherman and Denison TX.

Also participating were Rise Aviation's long-time fuel provider, Avfuel, financial, architectural and design partners b1 Bank, McCaslin & Associates, and Dorsch Interiors in collaboration with Nielsen Collection, as well as General Contractor, Piazza Construction.

In 2008 Rise Aviation began offering FBO Services as Lake Texoma Jet Center when it acquired the existing FBO at NTRA. As growth accelerated from the DFW Metroplex north towards North Texas Regional Airport, Rise Aviation began plans for a new modern FBO facility to better serve the GA community. Rise entered negotiations with the Grayson County Regional Mobility Authority to acquire an additional leasehold for development of a new state-of-the-art FBO facility.

Currently Rise Aviation operates four hangar/office facilities at NTRA totaling 67,530 sq/ft of hangar, 21,890 sq/ft of office/shop space, and 7 acres of aircraft ramp space. This new project adds 1.40 acres of leasehold and a 10,721 square foot terminal which includes a large passenger lobby, crew lounge and separate snooze room, a flight planning area, a vending area, leasable office space, an observation deck overlooking the runways, a large executive conference room and NTRA's administrative offices. The new Rise Aviation FBO Terminal is slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.

The new state-of-the-art facility was designed to accommodate the needs of the business aviation community well into the future and enables Rise to expand amenities.

"We are delighted to be underway with construction of our new FBO terminal at North Texas Regional Airport," said George Schuler. "Rise looks forward to continue serving the users of North Texas Regional Airport with this new facility. As the North Texas area continues to grow, many businesses and investors who come to Grayson County with thoughts about relocating, building, or investing here will arrive in a business aircraft and we are pleased Rise Aviation's new facility at NTRA will be Grayson County's front door to the world."
