Aero-TV: PowerVision Drone Programs - Air/Sea Updates From CES 2017

Ease Of Operation, Form, And Function All Come Together In The PowerEgg…

This is a test; what is it that looks like an egg from the Jurassic era and flies after it has hatched? To answer this question, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, took the opportunity at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas in January 2017 to talk with Merlin Love, who is the Senior Director of Sales for PowerVision, a company that produces a drone known as the PowerEgg.

Love explained that their company has been in business for a number of years producing robotic products other than drones, and when they decided to enter the consumer market for drones, their plan was to make the drone different, pleasing to look at, and one that would stand out. The outcome of that plan is the PowerEgg.

The video demonstrates the many functions of the drone, and one interesting feature is that it can be flown with a single handheld controller that they call, “Maestro.” The point that Love makes is that the drone is not only unusual looking - it is also designed to be very easy to operate.

It’s usually pretty hard to use the word, “beautiful and functional,” in the same sentence when talking about a multirotor drone, but the PowerEgg makes that easy to do. You’ll really love watching this video.
