ASA Announces The Complete Remote Pilot New Edition

3rd Edition By David Ison

Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. (ASA) announced the release of the third edition of The Complete Remote Pilot that covers all the knowledge required for the FAA written Knowledge Exam, and also teaches about how drones fly, their systems and components, and the requirements necessary to fly in the same national airspace system as crewed aircraft.

Anyone interested in pursuing the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required to operate drones for commercial use will want to read and study this guide.

The Complete Remote Pilot is a comprehensive and easy to read textbook that will not only prep you for the exam, but also teach you drone terminology, regulations, airspace, navigation, airport and off-airport operations, radio communication procedures, weather, aerodynamics and aircraft performance, preflight inspection procedures, normal operations, emergency procedures, maintenance, and human factors.

This third edition incorporates regulation changes in 14 CFR Parts 89 and 107 for sUAS equipment; operating at night and over people; remote pilot knowledge, training, and certification; and remote identification of uncrewed aircraft.

It is augmented with specific tips and techniques, checklists, and mnemonic (memory) devices, as well as new review questions for each chapter like those found on the FAA test, a comprehensive glossary, and an index.

The Complete Remote Pilot provides the practical knowledge needed to pass the FAA Knowledge Exam and operate safely as a remote pilot in the U.S. National Airspace System.

The Complete Remote Pilot is available in softcover, 216 pages.
