Saturday, NORAD says it scrambled two F-15E Strike Eagles to intercept a general aviation aircraft which was NORDO in the vicinity of Camp David, MD, at approximately 1217 EDT. Later that day two F-15's were sent to intercept a Cessna 210 near the Presidential retreat at approximately 1826 EDT.

Both civilian aircraft were intercepted and departed the restricted area. They both landed at Carroll County Regional Airport where they were met by local law enforcement.

Then on Sunday, NORAD says its fighters intercepted a Cessna 182 in the restricted airspace at approximately 1036 EDT. That airplane was also out of radio communication. The pilot reportedly was intercepted and departed the Temporary Flight Restricted area and landed at the Carroll County Regional airport.

That makes five GA aircraft to be intercepted and escorted out of the Camp David TFR in the past month. The previous incidents occurred on June 11th and July 2nd.

NORAD's mission in close collaboration with homeland defense, security, and law enforcement partners - is to prevent air attacks against North America, safeguard the sovereign airspaces of the United States and Canada by responding to unknown, unwanted and unauthorized air activity approaching and operating within these airspaces, and provide aerospace and maritime warning for North America. NORAD may be required to monitor, shadow, divert from flight path, direct to land and/or destroy platforms deemed a potential threat to North America.
