Piper Names Two Executives To Leadership Roles

Drew McEwen, Lisa Giessert Assume New Duties With The Company

Piper Aircraft has named two seasoned executives to lead the company's sales, customer support and marketing programs. Both will report to Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott.

(L-R) Drew McEwen, Lisa Giessert

Drew McEwen will become Head of Global Sales and Business Development, responsible for the company's worldwide dealer network, regional sales directors and global fleet sales. Previously he was Director of Sales, Americas. Veteran Piper executive Lisa Giessert will become Head of Sales Administration and Customer Support, responsible for Sales Administration, Marketing, Customer Support and Aftermarket Business. She previously served in a series of increasingly more responsible roles in support of Piper sales activities throughout the world.

"Drew McEwen and Lisa Giessert are respected executives with extensive industry sales experience and expansive knowledge of Piper's dealer and service center support network," said Caldecott. "They have established solid relationships with our important dealer organization and can be expected to expand our footprint as Piper grows as a global force in aviation." Both will be located at Piper's headquarters in Vero Beach.

McEwen joined Piper in 2010 to lead the company's expansion of the dealer network in the Americas. Previously he was a long-time sales executive with Hawker Beechcraft Corp., where he was the highest single sales producer in Beechcraft history, selling more than $1 billion in aircraft. He held a number of senior sales and marketing positions during his years with that company. McEwen is a pilot with 1,900 flight hours with twin and instrument ratings. He earned a bachelor's in communication from Arizona State University.

Giessert began her aviation career at Piper nearly 20 years ago and has risen steadily through the ranks to become a member of senior management. She served in a variety of management roles to include Executive Assistant, Executive Office Manager, Contracts Coordinator, Warranty Manager, Parts Administration Director, Dealer Development Manager and Sales/Contracts Administration Director. Prior to Piper Aircraft her professional experience was primarily focused in real estate management and land development. She received a master of business administration and a bachelor of science in business professional management from Nova Southeastern University.
