GAMA Announces Staff Additions and Promotions

ESG and the Goose that Lays the Pyrite Eggs

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) is an industry trade association representing the interests of general aviation aircraft manufacturers and stakeholders. The Washington, D.C.-headquartered organization seeks to foster and advance the welfare, safety, interests, and activities of the global business and general aviation industries.

On 11 July 2023, GAMA announced the additions of Péter Márton and Zanthe Jordine as the Association’s respective Director of European Government Affairs, and Director of European Safety/Sustainability Development respectively.

GAMA also announced the promotion of Cate Brancart to Director of European Safety and Sustainability Development.

Speaking to the subject of the new appointees, GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce stated: “The additions of Péter and Zanthe to the GAMA team will enhance our ability to support our members and our industry’s priorities on both sides of the Atlantic. Péter’s political acumen of the processes and regulations in Europe will be a great asset as we continue to support the global growth of the general and business aviation civil sector. Zanthe brings a fresh, exciting perspective to the team and we look forward to fully engaging her passion for aviation as she begins her professional career.”

In his new capacity of Director of European Government Affairs, Péter Márton will head up GAMA’s advocacy and public affairs activities in Europe, which set out to advance the interests of GAMA’s members and the whole of the aviation sector before the European Commission, European Parliament, EU Member States, EU Agencies, and the U.K. government.

Prior to joining GAMA, Mr. Márton worked for several diplomatic missions to the EU, including representing the United States and New Zealand in matters of policy pertaining to environment, trade, and economic policy. What’s more, Mr. Márton holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Policy Track; a master’s degree with merit in International Relations and European Studies; and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in international relations.

Conversely, Zanthe Jordine will provide assistance to and advocate on behalf of GAMA’s engineering and maintenance team. Jordine is a graduate of Middle Georgia State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation science and management.

Cate Brancart joined GAMA in 2018 for purpose of managing the Association’s ongoing efforts to bolster the general aviation sector throughout Europe via the organization of better safety data, improved access to quality flight training, and the acceptance and integration of new technologies.

In her new role of Director of European Safety and Sustainability Development, Brancart will work to promote awareness of general aviation’s pivotal role as an incubator of sustainable technologies.
