Guided Independent Flight Training Is An Innovation In Learning To Fly

Redbird Flight Simulations has, from its inception, been dedicated to helping people learn to fly in the most cost-effective way possible, and their latest innovation in that arena is called "GIFT" ... Guided Independent Flight Training.

Josh Harnagel, Vice President of Marketing for Redbird Flight Simulations, told ANN CEO and Editor in Chief Jim Campbell that GIFT brings content and training into the simulation so students are able to learn from the simulator and get objective feedback as they fly the simulator.

GIFT is intended to be a supplement to the training a student gets from an instructor. Students can fly specific modules or tasks, get feedback as the lesson progresses, and then review the lesson after the simulated flight.

Harnagel said GIFT is available at a number of flight schools around the country, with more being added regularly. The flight school needs to be equipped with a Redbird training device. The student purchases a license from the flight school or directly from Redbird, and runs the software in the device.

GIFT for private pilot training costs $249.
