AeroEducate Sees 40,000 Registered Users

EAA's Educational Program Gathers Speed as Students Discover Flight

The Experimental Aviation Association's AeroEducate program announced yet another milestone, with 40,000 registered users ringing in the new year.

The free program aims to bring the world of aviation into the classroom, giving kids and teachers a bevy of tools, activities, and lessons to motivate and dazzle them on their educational journey. The most recent count of users has shown that AeroEducate onboarded more than 3,000 new people since they closed out 2022. The new users are predominantly students, too, with only 1,700 of active registrations having joined as an educator. Accounting for parents and other adults, the EAA believes they have well north of 35,000 current student users, varying in age from 5 to 18 years of age.

Students can continue their climb up through the ranks by collecting digital achievements, with printable certificates granting them physical proof of their aeronautical accomplishments. Activities are stretched across 5 different career areas, allowing them to complete more than 31,000 activities, from DIY projects and classroom activities to aeronautical career explorations.

“AeroEducate’s rapid growth in 2023 reflected the program’s improvement and expansion throughout the year,” said Paul Maloy, EAA’s director of education. “The continuous addition of new content in cooperation with our sponsors has reinforced the overall goal of AeroEducate to engage, inspire, and empower young people to see pathways to success in aviation and aerospace.”
