Southeast Aviation Expo 2014 Was A 'High Flying' Success

Education Sessions And Animal Rescue All A Part Of The Weekend's Activities

The organizers of the Southeast Aviation Expo report that last weekend's event was a great success, “from flying EAA Young Eagles to flying beagles," according to Don Purcell, President of the South Carolina Aviation Association.

For the first time, this year's event featured Pilots N Paws' Greenville Rescue Animal Airlift:  Make a Flight. Save a Life!  where animals were saved from regional shelters and flown to new homes in the U.S. EAA Chapter 249 offered free Young Eagles flights to youth who might never have had a chance to experience the awe of aviation, and there was a takeoff and landing demonstration by Just Aircraft's award winning SuperStol which is manufactured in S.C. and can take off AND land in less than 200 feet!

"The Southeast Aviation Expo continues to grow a little each year and this year was no exception.  I had good contacts both days," stated Chris Holder, Concorde Battery Corporation's Eastern US Sales Manager who was exhibiting at the event.

Educational sessions were held throughout the two day event and many different kinds of aircraft were on static display, from large planes used for missionary work and transporting cargo into hard to reach areas to personal and business luxury airplanes.
