Source: Aviation-hating New Jersey State Representative Steve R. Rothman, commenting on Friday's fatal crash of a Cessna Cardinal on approach for an emergency landing at Teterboro Airport in South Hackensack, NJ. Rothman has been a vocal opponent of growth at the airport, grabbing at any straw he can find in order to find a way to validate his anti-aviation position. He is calling for a 25% reduction of all traffic into Teterboro and a ban of older Stage Two aircraft at the airport due to noise. Friday's crash was the fourth incident this year at the busy NY-area reliever airport, and the first fatality.
