DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase Announces 2020 Event Date

Sport Aviation Event Prepares For Its Fifth Edition, Nov. 12-14, 2020

The DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase (DSAS) has been studying results, comments, surveys and statistics from the recently concluded 2019 event, that despite having to contend with some less than hospitable treatment from Mother Nature, is now readying for the 2020 event, next November 12-14 of 2020. With its homebase located at the DeLand Municipal Airport in Florida, it will be the fifth rendition of this successful growing event.

The 2019 event surpassed expectations with 26 new vendors and exhibitors, and an increase in attendance with a number of new and exciting features leading the way to a successful event, even when dealing with occasional rain and cooler temperatures.

A number of popular vendors reported solid sales of new and used airplanes, aviation accessories, and assorted services, while attendees and exhibitors both praised the preparation of the event team and professionalism of the support staff -- largely composed of highly motivated volunteers.

DeLand’s Sport Aviation Administrator and the DSAS ‘Boss’ noted that, “…with four great years under our belts, and a growing roster of supportive visitors and exhibitors, we look forward to using most of 2020 to preparing an even better event…. Because we learn SO much each time we do this. We’re looking at quite a few intriguing ideas for additions and improvement to DSAS’s winning formula, and will be engaging in months of study and consultation, to bring the sport aviation community the very best event we know how to produce. I can’t wait!”

Among the winning strategies that typified the occasionally damp DSAS19 event was a greater and more comprehensive emphasis on marketing and communications – which paid serious dividends in increasing awareness of the event’s potential and importance. An exhibitor-oriented Passport Program provided onsite visitors an incentive to make sure that they saw as much of the Showcase as possible. On the attraction side, a STOL aircraft exhibition was a surefire winner with attendees flocking to the flightline at end of each day to see the Short Take-Off and Landing display in real-time. And, those were but a few of the ‘winners’ that made DSAS19 a ‘must-attend’ Fall sport aviation gathering. Best of all, even more excitement and innovation is expected for 2020…
