ATG Network Provider Adds to the Family
Air-to-Ground internet provider SmartSky has added Aero Center Atlanta to their network of dealers and installers, adding 7 FBO locales to the roster.
The addition means that Aero Centers can provide Part 145 maintenance services along with flu-service management, charter, and FBO services. Their Atlanta location is by far the most plush in the family, described as a crown jewel amongst a slate of smaller facilities throughout the US. They're already in the swing of things, installing SmartSky's Flagship and LITE systems to cover everything from smaller aircraft to large-cabin bizjets.
So far, SmartSky has rounded most of its bases in sourcing STCs for internet installation, covering the Citation X series, Challenger 601/650, Falcon 900/2000, Gulfstream G350/GV, Lear 60, and Embraer 135/145. Stuff like the Phenom 100/300; King Air C90/B350, Hawker 800/900, Challenger 300/350, and Airbus A319 are in the works too, with a whole list of models in-between. That should give shoppers for SmartSky gear enough options to pick the right layout, whether it's the larger, more plus "Flagship" system or their smaller "LITE" suite. In either case, operators gain a combination of 5G and LTE connectivity that performs like terrestrial broadband, perfect of the kind of clientele who work aboard such aircraft.
“Our growing, nationwide company is proud to strengthen our offerings with SmartSky next-generation inflight Wi-Fi,” said Dan Lane, Vice President of Technical Services for Aero Centers. “Aero Center Atlanta offers deep maintenance expertise with all sizes of aircraft. Because the SmartSky LITE system is geared toward light jets and turboprops, it is a particularly strong asset for connecting this class of airframes that has not previously had a streaming-level solution. Our sales and installation teams are excited to offer the significant upgrades to passenger experiences delivered by SmartSky’s proven connectivity.”
