Diamond and QinetiQ Sign Purchase Agreement For 2 DA62 MPPs

Aircraft Can Stay Airborne For Up To Eight Hours

QinetiQ GmbH has placed an order for two DA62 MPP multi-purpose platforms.

The aircraft will support QinetiQ’s delivery of training and reconnaissance missions, thanks to the extended period of time that the aircraft will be able to spend in the air.

Volker Wallrodt, Managing Director QinetiQ GmbH said, “We have signed the contract with Diamond Aircraft for the purchase of 2 DA62 MPP aircraft to expand the capabilities of our fleet and further develop our aerial services for the benefit of our customers.”

“We are very pleased and excited about QinetiQ’s decision to add the powerful and cost-efficient DA62 MPP to their fleet of aircraft,” said Mario Spiegel, Sales Manager Special Mission Aircraft Division Diamond Aircraft Austria.

“This underlines again the leading position of Diamond’s Special Mission Aircraft within the industry. The combination of most modern avionics, efficient and quiet jet fuel engines, easy handling, a spacious cabin, multi-sensor capability as well as the ability to fly missions of up to eight hours will enable QinetiQ to reach new heights in their business.”

The DA62 MPP is the latest variant of Diamond Aircraft’s Special Mission Aircraft portfolio.
