Search Underway For Pilot Missing In Kentucky

Kentucky State Patrol, CAP Involved In Search

The Civil Air Patrol and Kentucky State Patrol are actively searching for pilot Robert C. Dalzell Jr., 70, who went missing with his airplane Monday on a cross-country flight.

Multiple media sources reports that Dalzell was flying a 2012 Green Aero Criquet Bogota airplane with the tail number N429BB. He departed Owensboro Regional Airport on Monday and landed at Falls of Rough airport in Grayson County, KY at about 0945 local time. He departed that airport at about 1120 local time, but did not return to Owensboro airport.

His last known position from his cell phone was within five miles of Falls of Rough airport at 1132 local time Monday.

Dalzell is described as being 5'5" tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has grey hair and hazel eyes.

As of Wednesday morning, there were no reports of Dalzell or his aircraft being located. The CAP reportedly had two airplanes flying search grids looking for the downed airplane.
