Eclipse Aerospace Anticipates Brazilian Type Certificate Validation Soon

Working With Brazilian Authorities For Likely Mid-September Announcement

Eclipse Aerospace said Friday it expected to be able to announce the grant of Brazilian Type Certificate Validation of the Total Eclipse Jet in mid September. In the meantime, the airplane is making its first appearance at the 8th Annual Latin America Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE).

Eclipse has been working very closely with the Brazilian Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) since April 2011 to validate the FAA Eclipse Jet Type Certificate. “We have enjoyed our technical co-operation between our team of specialists and the those at the ANAC,” states Ken Ross, President of Global Services at Eclipse Aerospace. “We have received overwhelming support and excitement from the Brazilian Aviation community.”

“We have enjoyed the opportunity to work with Eclipse Aerospace team and we are looking forward to welcoming the operations of the Eclipse Jet in Brazil,” stated Edilson Manacero, ANAC Airworthiness Project Manager.

Eclipse Aerospace currently offers the Total Eclipse Twin-Engine Jet configured with the all-new Avio Integrated Flight Management System (IFMS) and certified for flight into known icing (FIKI). The Total Eclipse Jet also comes complete with a “tip-to-tail” factory warranty, new paint, and a new interior. Traveling at speeds in excess of 430 MPH (375 ktas) at altitudes up to 41,000 feet, this light jet consumes only 60 gallons of fuel an hour in cruise.

The Total Eclipse is on display all week at LABACE through the Brazilian distributor AirStream Aviation, and demo flights are available.
