Landmark Aviation Acquires Southwest Airport Services In Houston (KEFD)

Provides Support For Private, Corporate Aviation As Well As NASA

Landmark Aviation has acquired Ellington Partners, LP and Southwest Airport Services at Ellington Airport (KEFD) in Houston, Texas. With an existing location at George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport (KIAH), this will be Landmark Aviation’s second FBO in the Houston area.

“We are happy to expand our footprint in Houston, and we look forward to being a part of Ellington Airport and its surrounding communities,” stated Dan Bucaro, Landmark Aviation President and CEO. “Ellington is a great alternative to other more congested airports in the Houston area.”

The FBO was founded by Jim Bath in 1984. With two executive terminals and over 150,000 square feet of hangar, office and shop space, the new Landmark Aviation facility provides support to private and corporate aviation as well as various governmental agencies including NASA.

“We are very proud of what our team built at Ellington," said Bill King, who served as president of the Ellington operations from 1999 until its sale this month. "We know that with the management and financial resources that Landmark Aviation brings to the table, Ellington will continue to grow and be a great asset for the city and this community.”

Landmark began operations in the former Southwest Airport Services facility at 11811 N. Brantley Avenue on February 18. The location’s amenities include conference rooms, pilot and passenger lounges, as well as an observation deck. KEFD is conveniently located minutes southeast of downtown Houston.
