King Air 300 Upgrades Announced

Three King Air 300 STCs: Collins EFIS, TCAS II, and Honeywell EGPWS

Atlantic Aero has done the work, and has announced three new Beechcraft King Air 300 Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) installations: Collins 3-Tube FDS-2000 Adaptive Flight Display System, Collins TCAS-4000 TCAS II and Honeywell Mark VIII Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS).

"We are very pleased to add these three new King Air 300 STCs to our extensive STC library," stated Jim Spinder, Atlantic Aero President and Chief Operating Officer. "We have completed the EFIS, TCAS II and Ground Proximity System installations under the newly issued STCs. We rounded out this new avionics package with new radio tuning units, turbulence detection weather radar and a flight management system. Our customer has exactly the installation he wants using some of the best from Collins, Honeywell and Universal."

"This is the first STC of the Collins FDS-2000 Adaptive Flight Display System in the three-tube configuration on any airplane," noted Dan Derby, Senior VP of Projects at Atlantic Aero. "This system has been installed previously in one and five tube Atlantic Aero – King Air STCs configurations only. This three-tube set-up is ideal for the King Air and it supports terrain awareness, FMS navigation maps and TCAS II displays along with the turbulence detection weather radar. It truly is an adaptive display system," he added.
