Cessna Offers Timely Incentive On New 182s

$15,000 In Fuel When You Buy A Skylane

As many know, Cessna Aircraft Company is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its popular C-182 Skylane model for 2006... and the small plane manufacturer has just announced a special promotion aimed at combating the highest fuel prices seen in that half-century.

From now through October 31, Cessna is offering $15,000 (US) in fuel, with the purchase of a new T182 Skylane or turbocharged T182T Skylane.

Cessna states that more than 24,200 Skylanes have been produced since 1956, with more than 6,000 produced at Cessna's facility in Independence, KS since 1996.

As on Cessna's other single-engine models, the company also offers the Garmin G1000 fully integrated glass cockpit on the Skylane. The G1000 was introduced on the Skylane and 206 Stationair in 2003, and the 172 Skyhawk two years later... and is now featured in nearly every Cessna propeller airplane produced.

Cessna has delivered more airplanes than any other commercial manufacturer, with more than 187,000 planes delivered to nearly every country of the world. The company also claims the title of world's largest GA manufacturer based on unit sales.

More than half the general aviation aircraft flying today carry a Cessna logo.
