Pilatus Debuts New PC-12 PRO Single-Engine

Advanced Turboprop Features a Touchscreen Garmin Avionics Suite

Swiss manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft recently unveiled its new PC-12 PRO single-engine turboprop aircraft. It runs with GA's latest poster child, the G3000 Prime integrated flight deck.

The PC-12 PRO is the latest variant of Pilatus’s vastly popular PC-12. Since its release in 1994, the Swiss-made jet built its reputation as a roomier, longer-range, and more efficient aircraft than most competitors. The PC-12 also carries the unique ability to cruise at up to 300 mph and 30,000 feet with one engine.

“It’s proven, it's reliable, it’s flexible, it's powerful, it has a spacious cabin, and a proven engine,” remarked Andre Zimmermann, Pilatus’s Vice President of Business Aviation. “It really carries the DNA of Pilatus Aircraft.”

Arguably the most significant development with the PC-12 PRO is its completely redesigned cockpit, veering away from Pilatus’s long-running commitment to Honeywell flight decks. Though Brand-G has previously worked with the manufacturer’s designs for retrofit programs, the PC-12 PRO will be the duo’s first official conjoined creation.

The new single-engine incorporates the G3000 Prime integrated flight deck. The suite utilizes five touchscreen displays, including three large screens across the panel and two seven-inch screens below. Compared to the original G3000, the Prime variant generates double the processing power and four times the RAM capacity.

Pilatus also made some of its own customizations, adding in its Cursor Control Device, track-based synthetic vision, and ergonomic control yokes inspired by the PC-24. The PC-12 PRO will run on ole’ reliable: the Pratt & Whitney PT6.

“These enhancements ensure the brand-new PC-12 PRO is the most technologically advanced, best-performing and most reliable aircraft in its class,” the manufacturer added. “The PC-12 PRO has been reimagined, yet it is instantly recognizable. In short: The Most Advanced Single has landed.”

Deliveries of the certified PC-12 PRO are slated for the fourth quarter of 2025.
