Daher Showcases Composites Expertise At JEC World 2025

Doubles Booth Size With Full-Scale Demos

Daher exhibited at the JEC World 2025 composites show along with its Dutch subsidiary KVE, taking place at the Paris-Nord Villepinte convention center near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport from March 4-6. They had an exhibit that is twice as large as last year’s.

JEC World is a leading show for composites and Daher is demonstrating its expertise in advanced aerospace materials with two main elements: a full-scale welded thermoplastic torsion box for aircraft that has been validated and is about to begin large-scale testing.

The company’s second demo is KVE’s thermoplastic induction welding process. According to Daher, these innovations affirm the company’s commitment to a lighter, more efficient, and more sustainable aviation industry.

The flagship demo in Daher’s exhibit is the thermoplastic torsion box which represents the stabilizer tailplane of a Daher TBM aircraft. The company says it has reached Technology Readiness Level 5 maturity after tests simulating its final use, and is now about to undergo large-scale validation.

The demonstrator has been selected for the JEC Awards and incorporates several cutting-edge manufacturing processes such as Automated Fiber Placement, Direct Stamping, and co-consolidation of materials. The structure is assembled through the KVE induction welding process that the company says is revolutionizing aerostructure manufacturing.

Daher will be presenting daily demos of the KVE Induct thermoplastic welding process.

Dominique Bailly, the Director of Research & Development at Daher said, “With the growing maturity of our composite technologies and the gradual industrialization of thermoplastic welding, we are taking a decisive step toward more sustainable aviation.”

She added, “These developments demonstrate our commitment to offering innovative solutions that directly address the decarbonization challenges facing the aerospace sector. Our medium-term goal is to produce complex, large-scale parts for tomorrow’s commercial aircraft targeted for the 2030-2035 timeframe.”
