Feds Investigate Another Laser Incident Near Dallas

Delta Flight From SLC Lit Up

The FBI and FAA are investigating yet another flight crew member's claim that someone flashed a laser into his cockpit near DFW Airport.

It happened around 2200 local time Tuesdsay night as Delta Flight 476 was on approach to DFW. FBI agents say the unidentified copilot was at the controls when the bright light shined into the cockpit. The approach continued and the aircraft landed safely. The copilot then took himself to the doctor as a precaution.

It's the fourth time since November that air crews approaching airports in the Dallas/Fort Worth area have reported being flashed with lasers. So far, no one's been permanently hurt and in all cases, the aircraft landed safely.
