Jeppesen And Peters Software Team To Provide Instrument Helicopter Training

Training Courseware To Be Continuously Updated, Available Through Multiple Platforms

Jeppesen has teamed with Peters Software GmbH, a leading provider of software programs for EASA private and commercial pilot license training and preparation, to offer Air Transport Pilot License [ATPL(H) IR] courseware and materials for instrument helicopter training in Europe.

The Jeppesen EASA ATPL(H) IR training system uses a blend of pictures, realistic photo graphics and QR codes to access film and audio clips, providing an unparalleled helicopter pilot training suite for European study. Teaming with Peters Software allows for Jeppesen training materials to be continuously updated, using state of the art database technology. This process allows for updates to be delivered more efficiently and training programs to remain current with regulatory guidance.

"Jeppesen ATPL(H) IR pilot training materials combined with Peters Software database technology enhances our industry-leading instrument rating training program for the dynamic helicopter market," said Reggie Arsenault, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. "This professional helicopter training program extends pilot learning through interactive technology and multimedia content and adds to our established EASA commercial pilot training program, developed in coordination with Peters Software."

The Jeppesen and Peters Software ATPL(H) IR pilot training program is available for use with various platforms, including as an e-book through an innovative app, through PC and Macintosh access and in printed versions. Printed books are produced on-demand, featuring up-to-date training program information, which eliminates bulk quantity material orders that could quickly become obsolete.

The Jeppesen EASA ATPL(H) IR Pilot training system is organized in 15 volumes in the paper version and 16 e-books through the mobile app.  An accompanying exam preparation question database for iPad is also planned to be available as an iTunes app.
