SureCheck Introduces TS Micro

Small, Low Cost Proximity Detection System

SureCheck Avionics tells ANN that they will release TS Micro, the latest in an expanding line of TrafficScope personal collision avoidance avionics, in early September.

The TS Micro will retail for $289.00.

The Micro is an all-digital system which monitors traffic threats with a 10-segment range display which indicates any transponder-equipped aircraft within three to five miles. TS Micro eliminates false alerts inherent to other analog alert systems and operates with coast-to-coast nationwide coverage, as well as within most other countries.

According to SureCheck CEO, Jason Clemens, "We are excited to offer this refinement of our technology, which sacrifices none of the accuracy TrafficScope has become known for, but makes proximity detection available to everyone."

At only 1.1” high, 2.4” wide, and 3.7” long, Micro is the first business card-sized unit, yet delivers big features like zero false alerts, an all-digital system, 3-5 mile range, 10-step resolution, a micro antenna, and 8+ hours of battery life from two Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. The complete kit includes four batteries and a quick charger.

SureCheck President Zane Hovey stresses that, "TS Micro utilizes the same complex algorithms and extensive digital signal filtering criteria found in the more feature-filled VRX unit, which displays range and altitude, but in a much more compact, basic hand-held unit."
