Airbus says a full range of its newest commercial and military aircraft will be on display at the 2012.

Static aircraft will include a customer A380, an Airbus A320 equipped with Sharklet fuel saving wing tip devices, an A318 Corporate jet, and the Airbus Beluga (pictured)  transport plane. Military aircraft include the A400M and a Portuguese Air Force C295 maritime patrol plane on static display.

All EADS company units, the ‘Future by EADS’ stand and the EADS press centre will be under one roof in a new centrally located EADS Pavilion. The Pavilion will focus on new and future programmes and include an A350 XWB cut-away model and movie theatre showcasing ‘efficiency’. Other models include the A320neo and the C295 in Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW) configurations. Airbus will also show a 3D movie offering a vision of the Future of Flight.

Airbus is also the headline sponsor of the Farnborough Innovation Zone and Future’s Day. The innovation Zone promotes inspiring R&T projects and a futuristic vision of a sustainable aviation sector in 2050 and beyond. Airbus experts will be on hand to discuss alternative energies, future solutions and future talent.

Airbus is hosting a series of career workshops for those considering a future in aerospace. Airbus has always attracted some of the best talent from around the world, and this will be one of the themes of a special event on Thursday midday at the static display area. Friday’s Future’s Day, is dedicated to the next generation that will shape the future of aviation. It includes a focus on Airbus’ highly popular Fly Your Ideas student challenge, with a panel discussion on the skills required in aviation.

The Farnborough International Airshow is taking place between July 9-15th.
