Plans Largest Airline Support And Career Event In Its History
The National Gay Pilots Association, also known as NGPA, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the overwhelming support of 19 airlines and the largest career event in the LGBT organization's history. The airlines will offer networking and interview opportunities at the NGPA PSP Industry Expo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, January 25, 2015, at the Renaissance Palm Springs Resort in Palm Springs, California. Pilots and aviation students are welcome to attend.
Additional activities beginning Friday evening as part of the 2015 NGPA Winter Warm-Up weekend will include a kick-off event at the Palm Springs Air Museum, a presentation by an American Airlines’ chief pilot, a BBQ sponsored by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, an Alaska Airlines scholarship presentation, entertainment by Coco Peru and much more.
“We are proud to celebrate the National Gay Pilot Association’s 25th year alongside advocates of diversity in the airline industry. This is expected to be the largest airline recruiting event in our organization’s history thanks to the overwhelming support from our industry partners,” said David Pettet, Executive Director, NGPA.
