CAPT Signs Agreement For AeroSim Flight Training Devices

Simulators Based On Cirrus SR22

Representatives with the Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) Program, based at Flager County, FL, tell ANN they've signed an agreement for Aerosim Technologies to provide a full suite of general aviation training tools for their pilot training program. These trainers are all based on the Cirrus SR22, and will allow pilots to train on simulators nearly identical to CAPT’s fleet of Cirrus SR20s.

Aerosim trainers covered by the agreement include 12 sets of the Cirrus Avionics Systems Trainer software, three Aviator Advanced Aviation Training Devices, and two FAA Level 6 Flight Training Devices.

"We are pleased that CAPT will integrate the Aerosim suite of Cirrus SR22 based trainers into their program," says Eduardo Carrasco, Aerosim Manager of Business Development, "Our trainers are designed to meet the highest fidelity and customization requirements and provide a truly integrated approach to training."

"We knew we needed a progressive partner who could meet our quality and functionality standards," says Shawn Raker, President & CEO of Flight Training Services International, "We found that partner in Aerosim, our cadets and owner operator customers, require CAPT to provide the most technologically advanced and effective training feasible, and Aerosim took the time to really understand our training needs. The Aerosim full suite of trainers, will allow CAPT to provide a revolutionary training experience for the General Aviation Community."

All Aerosim training products are designed to operate in either a structured training environment or true free-play mode. The Cirrus Avionics Systems Trainer software is designed for full avionics systems learning, using guided lessons integrated with simulation to create a fully interactive training environment.

The Aviator Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) offers a cost effective substitute for instrument training time traditionally completed in the aircraft or in higher level flight training devices. This stand alone trainer enables both procedural and operational performance task training related to ground and flight training for private pilot, commercial pilot and other advanced certificates and ratings.

Aerosim’s FAA Level 6 FTD is a high-fidelity device that replicates specific aircraft and provides extremely realistic simulation just as in a full flight simulator without the motion.

The CAPT Program is a highly focused proficiency-based flight training program featuring the latest in technically advanced training aircraft and flight simulation tools.
