Diamond Reports Record Sales

And You Should See What's Coming, Says Company

Some recent informal discussions among a number of the power-players in general aviation revealed that one of the most "watched" companies, competitively-speaking, in the business is Diamond Aircraft. Something of a silent giant, thus far, Diamond is finally showing why they are worthy of such scrutiny.

Diamond Aircraft reports that its first quarter results were the best ever, with 57 units delivered through March 31st, 2004. But the real story is in the future, as indicated by the record number of orders received in April 2004. During the single opening week of April 2004 alone, Diamond received 167 secured deposits from customers and its Diamond Regional Distribution Centers (DRDC's). Significantly, 41 of these orders were actual retail sales, with the balance being DRDC orders.

Although sales were strong for all Diamond models, the current sales leader is Diamond's innovative DA42 Twin Star, with a world wide total of 122 orders received in April alone and a total order book approaching 400 units. Diamond credits strong Twin Star sales to its superior performance, safety, high level of technology and unique position in the market place, and also to the fact that with the DA42 certification on schedule and customer deliveries commencing before the end of this year, Diamond is proving yet again that it can deliver in accordance with its aggressive certification and product development schedules.
