GOL Passes the 20 Million Passenger Milestone
GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes, Brazil's low-cost airline,
passed the 20 million passenger milestone in August. Since the
launch of operations in January 2001, the company says it's
recorded continuous and increasing growth rates in both the number
of passengers and aircraft efficiency. In 2002, GOL transported 4.8
million passengers, 232% more than in 2001 (2.1 million). Last
year, 7.3 million passengers flew GOL and, in the first half of
2004, GOL has already transported 5.2 million passengers.
