RENO '03: FIRST Look at Unlimited Race Results

ANN's Tim Kern has just phoned in the following results from the JUST completed Unlimited Races in Reno, NV. More information will be filed once the partying has worked down to a dull roar, but we're pleased to give you the highlights right away!

Please be advised that this turned into a VERY interesting race as winds gusted 16-23 kts, throughout, and an early 8 second lead by Dago Red had been closed to about three seconds by the time Skip Holm In Dago and John Penney in 'The Bear" crossed the finish line. By the way, Skip Holm set a new race speed record of 507.105 mph during Unlimited Class Heat 3-A of the 2003 National Championship Air Races.
