Klein Vision Debuts $1 Million Flying Car

Production-Model AirCar Slated to Hit the Market in 2026

Slovakia-based developer Klein Vision recently unveiled the production-model prototype of its flying car at the 2025 Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner in Beverly Hills. If all goes to plan, the AirCar will hit the market in early 2026.

“Receiving this recognition from the Living Legends of Aviation is a tremendous honor and a humbling milestone,” said Stefan Klein, founder of Klein Vision. “The AirCar fulfills a lifelong dream to bring the freedom of flight into the hands of everyday people. With the launch of our production prototype, we are one step closer to transforming how the world moves — merging the road and the sky into a new dimension of personal mobility.”

The AirCar is the outcome of more than a decade of work from Klein Vision co-founders Stefan Klein and Anton Zajac. The company was officially established in 2017 and had its first flying car prototype in the air by 2021. It has retractable wings, folding tail surfaces, and a parachute deployment system, and is capable of transforming from a sports car to an airplane in merely two minutes and fifteen seconds.

Since its maiden flight, the original AirCar has completed more than 500 takeoffs and landings through 170 flight hours. The manufacturer has moved on to the second prototype, featuring several upgrades from the initial version. It uses advanced composite construction, allowing it to be around 440 pounds lighter than the original, as well as a 280-horsepower engine with full-authority digital engine control (FADEC) to make the design more user-friendly.

The 22nd annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards was a big time for Klein Vision. Founder and CEO Stefan Klein was presented the Special Recognition Award for Engineering Excellence, giving him credit for his immense contributions to the relatively unexplored concept of personal air mobility.

The Slovakian manufacturer also played a short documentary that summed up a 35-year journey that made Klein Vision what it is today: a full-fledged aviation innovator preparing to bring its certified flying car to the market.

“We’re not just witnessing the future of transportation — we’re engineering it,” said co-founder Anton Zajac.
