FH1100 Features Updated Panel

FH1100 MANUFACTURING CORP. of Century, Florida has announced the selection of the CHELTON FlightLogic Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) to be installed as standard equipment in all model-year 2006 FH1100 helicopters. The FlightLogic primary flight display replaces all of the conventional mechanical gauges (attitude, direction, airspeed, altimeter, VSI). In addition, it integrates many other functions such as navigation, terrain- and collision-avoidance.

“The FlightLogic system is a tremendous piece of new technology,” said Georges Van Nevel, President and CEO of FH1100 Manufacturing Corp.

“It gives FH1100 owners a level of cockpit sophistication and capability heretofore unheard of in anything but the largest airliners. We are excited to be teaming up with Chelton,” Van Nevel went on. “And we look forward to attending HELI-EXPO 2006 in Dallas, Texas where we will be displaying a new-production FH1100 with the FlightLogic system installed.”

The Chelton FlightLogic system will be available for retrofit on FH1100 helicopters that have been previously produced. The FH1100 is a five-place helicopter powered by the Rolls Royce 250 C-20B engine.
