Guimbal Cabri G2 Helicopters Reach Fleet Milestone

Voted #1 In Helicopter And Engine Manufacturers Survey 4th Consecutive Year

For the fourth straight year, the Helicopter and Engine Manufacturers Survey in Vertical Magazine voted the French manufacturer Helicopteres Guimbal No. 1.

The company has about 340 of its Cabri G2s currently in service worldwide and collectively they have now surpassed the 500,000 fleet hours mark. The survey calls Guimbal “the little big helicopter OEM” that consistently ranks higher than larger and better capitalized helicopter makers. This is primarily due to the company’s product and personalized service.

Helicopteres Guimbal was founded by Bruno Guimbal, who wanted to design and certify a small helicopter equipped with advanced technology found in larger helicopter types. The Cabri G2 received its EASA type certification in 2007 and FAA certification in 2014. The G2 is one of the most modern trainer helicopters available.

Precision Support Services is the North American distributor and support provider for Guimbal and is often referred to as Cabri USA. The U.S. is Guimbal’s largest market and Precision works closely with Guimbal to provide support, training, parts, maintenance and access to the Program Manager.

Bruno Guimbal said, “The Cabri is a very robust helicopter, but years of training is a tough life!”

Sarah Brazel, Precision’s Guimbal Manager says, “The Cabri USA network is a family. My dad was a USCG rescue pilot and I’ve been working in Aviation since I was 18, I’ve grown up in aviation. When we get the call that one of our customers is AOG, we treat it as if our own aircraft is AOG. Because being down matters, especially to the flight schools where every hour counts. When U.S. customers chose the Cabri G2, they are trusting Guimbal and they are trusting Precision. We take this responsibility very seriously and if the survey is any indicator, so far we are succeeding.”
