Textron Announces 20-Unit Order from Fly Alliance

Florida Pt 135 Operator Eyes Expansion with 4 Firm Citation XLS Orders and Options for More

Textron continued their NBAA lucky streak with a purchase agreement with Fly Alliance for up to 20 Cessna Citations.

The order stands for 4 firm aircraft purchases with options for up to 16 additional aircraft to begin delivery of the first XLS Gen2 in 2023. Fly Alliance will add the Citations into its fleet of luxury private charter jets based out of Florida and Rhode Island. Their purchase of a Cessna is a first for the brand, having a fleet of 6 Hawker 800XP aircraft for their Part 135 services. While Fly Alliance owns a relatively modest fleet among jet card businesses, they have eyes for a much grander fleet in time.

“The Fly Alliance acquisition of up to 20 brand new aircraft from Textron Aviation expands our product offering to our members and customers,” said Kevin Wargo, CEO of Alliance Aviation Group. “This is an excellent path to building our fleet size to 100 aircraft in the years to come.”

“This order is an important step in Textron Aviation’s continued relationship with Alliance Aviation Group, now Fly Alliance,” said Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president over Global Sales and Flight Operations at Textron. “Fly Alliance set out with the goal of improving the private charter experience, so it only makes sense to bring the Citation XLS Gen2 into their fleet. It’s the latest version of our popular midsize jet that features comfort and productivity upgrades while retaining the model’s winning combination of performance and efficiencies.”
