Aero-TV: Top Rudder Aircraft - Have Fun With Aviation Again

Experience The Wind In Your Face With Ruckus

Bryce Angell sees Top Rudder Aircraft as the perfect design to have fun with aviation again. The Ruckus is Top Rudder’s flagship (as well as their only) design, designed to be a light, breezy, and affordable entry point into the world of aircraft ownership. ANN;'s Jim Campbell stopped by to check out the goods at SUN ‘n FUN, and the package is pretty attractive. With a small 10% deposit on the $40,000 price tag, pilots can get a serial number assigned and begin their wait. Currently, Angell said orders are being filled in about 32 weeks on average - not too shabby for such a new design. Once their number’s up, customers can spend some shop time along with Top Rudder personnel to hit the 51% rule as they build their own aircraft.

The Ruckus is the trim level getting most of their attention, Angell said, since its large, chunky tundra tires, STOL focus, and lightweight Polini engine are the most popular with buyers. And he’s sure the Ruckus’ charm will win over even more buyers, saying “once you get used to being outside and all the air blowing over your face, it's an amazing experience.”
