ENAC Orders 30 Elixir Aircraft For VFR Fleet

Purchase Comes Just Ahead Of Paris Air Show

Elixir Aircraft announced it has received an order for 30 of its training aircraft from the French flight school École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile, or ENAC, to replace its fleet of VFR trainers and is expected to be completed during 2026-27.

The Elixir is a fourth-generation aircraft will a simplified all-composite aerostructure called Carbon OneShot, and comprises just nine parts with no rivets or glue.

Olivier Chansou, Managing Director of ENAC said, “One of ENAC’s missions is to support the transformation of the air transport sector towards more sustainable aviation, and the major fleet renewal operation, with the support of our supervisory authority, is part of this strategy.”

A very fuel-efficient engine that cuts CO2 emissions by 70% and the design combine to make the Elixir a quiet airplane that keeps operating costs below €50 per hour. Which is also a good value for flight training with its frequent flight cycles.

Arthur Léopold-Léger, Co-founder and President of Elixir Aircraft said, “This contract is the reward for ten years of work in the design, certification, and industrialization of our aircraft. We look forward to meeting the first ENAC pilots trained on the Elixir in a few years.”

With this order, ENAC becomes the fifth European private flight school to include the Elixir in their fleets, with the others being Airbus Flight Academy in France, Leading Edge Aviation in Spain and the UK, Fife Flight Centre in Scotland, and Egnatia Aviation in Greece.
