SkyWest Buys 60 Embraer E175, Options On 50 More

Carrier World’s Largest Operator With Over 260 Fleet E-Jets

Embraer announced the firm order by SkyWest of 60 E175 passenger aircraft with options for 50 additional, at the 55th Paris Air Show 2025 at Le Bourget Airport. The value of the firm order is $3.6 billion for 60 aircraft, which will add to Embraer’s Q2 backlog.

SkyWest Airlines currently owns operates the largest fleet of E-Jets with 263, which will be boosted to 323 with this initial order and even more should the airline execute the options.

Chip Childs, President and CEO of SkyWest, said, "As the largest E175 owner and operator worldwide, we’re pleased to continue growing our E175 fleet and enhance our dual-class footprint. This order enables us to advance our long-term fleet strategy and to continue to deliver the premier regional product in the industry."

Arjan Meijer, President & CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, added, "We are thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with SkyWest Airlines with this mega order. The E175 is the cornerstone of regional aviation in North America, and this order underscores SkyWest's confidence in our aircraft's performance, reliability, and passenger comfort. We look forward to supporting SkyWest's growth and success in the years to come."

SkyWest and Embraer have been partners for nearly 40 years since 1986 when the airline purchased five EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft. SkyWest celebrated its 25th anniversary 1997 with more than 40 EMB-120s, and in 2013 the airline acquired 100 E175 aircraft.
