Daher Continues Improving Kodiak Series

Avionics And Systems Enhancements Of Standard And Optional Equipment

Daher announced a series of improvements in avionics and systems for its Kodiak 900 and Series III aircraft for 2025 that will further enhance their operation, maintenance, and safety, as well as augmenting the conformity among these models and the TBM 960 aircraft.

Some of the enhancements include the Garmin GDL 60 datalink and PlaneSync technology that enables rapid wireless downloads of nav and database updates, automatic database logging to simplify flight and engine performance tracking. It also allows remote access and aircraft wake-up to check system and fuel status via a cellular or WiFi connection.

In a press conference at the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida, Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher Aircraft said, “The Kodiak is benefitting once again from Daher Aircraft’s commitment to continual improvement across its product lines, reflecting advancements in technology and systems, as well as meeting the evolving operational requirements of our customers.

“With PlaneSync™, the Kodiak 900 and Kodiak 100 Series III fleets now have a single advanced connectivity solution, which is harmonized as well with the TBM 960 – thereby empowering pilots with smarter, simpler, and more efficient operations,” Chabbert added.

The new Avionics One package for the Kodiak series include the Garmin GWX 8000 StormOptix doppler weather radar, GRA radar altimeter with signal processing technology, and the GTX345D diversity transponder with intuitive situational awareness tools to reduce pilot workload and provide real-time traffic and weather.

New Whelen external lights have been added to the aircraft for landing, taxi, and nav/strobe recognition to improve nighttime visibility and safety with extended service life.

Daher has a significant presence at SUN ‘n FUN with a Kodiak 900 and a TBM 960 at the exhibit.
