Sama Aviation Buys First Diamond DA40

Jazirah Aviation Club To Train New Pilots

Sama Aviation, a branch of the popular Jazirah Aviation Club in the UAE Emirate of Ras Al Kaimah, announced it has taken delivery of its first Diamond DA40 four-place single-engine piston aircraft it plans to use for initial pilot training in its newly-established pilot training program.

The Jazirah Aviation Club already offers General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)-approved training for the Light Sport Aircraft in the UAE.

Dania Alaker, Marketing Manager at Jazirah Aviation Club said, “Sama Aviation is thrilled to add the DA40 to our fleet. This aircraft represents a significant step in our commitment to providing top-tier training and a modern flying experience for our students. We appreciate the professionalism and support of Diamond Aircraft throughout the acquisition process and look forward to a successful partnership.”

Christian Schmid, Sales Manager for Diamond Aircraft said, “We are proud to welcome Sama Aviation to the Diamond Aircraft family and are sure their students and instructors will love the easy handling, versatility, and performance that comes with the DA40. We are also delighted to celebrate yet another new Diamond in the Middle East region, where demand for our aircraft is growing rapidly.”

The air-conditioned DA40 NG handed off to Sama at the Diamond’s Austrian Headquarters in Wiener Neustadt is powered by the 168 hp Austro Engine AE300 turbocharged diesel engine and an ECU single lever control system. The aircraft runs on the widely available Jet A-1, making it sustainable and cost-efficient.

The sale was facilitated by Diamond’s regional sales Partner, Aviation Home Qatar, and the aircraft is slated by be in operation at the school by the end of 2025.
