ANN Appoints Aero-TV Daily News Host

'Airport Brat' Ivee Sauls Joins Aero-TV!

When ANN selects a new staff member, it's done with a number of critical parameters in mind.

First, of course, we select people who we think can do the job and do it well. Second; we select those with the respect and affection for aviation that motivates the rest of the ANN crew... an essential element in our commitment to helping aviation grow and prosper...

And finally; there's the important element of team compatibility to consider -- to find someone with the right combination of craziness and enthusiasm to take their place among the ranks of the ANN aero-gnomes and "fit in."

Well, we think we've found just such a person... and for a critical new gig for our upcoming Aero-TV coverage... that of hosting the daily news programs that we'll be offering shortly, Monday through Friday. So, the newest member of the ANN/Aero-TV family is long-time "Airport Brat" Ivee Sauls.

Ivee spent much of her time flying, hanging around pilots and planes as a kid. She was raised on a grass airstrip in a very small Florida community. The airstrip, called Thunderbird Airpark, was created by her granddad, Lt. Col. Norris Sauls.

She flew with her granddad almost every day of her life until her granddad passed away. She has continued her love-affair with aviation ever since.

Ivee began her career in journalism at the age of 15. She wrote an article in every edition of the local newspaper and as time progressed she took on other duties like photography, selling and building advertisements, circulation, and much more. After graduating from high school she continued to work at the newspaper while in community college. She dedicated five years to the newspaper before moving to Orlando to further her education.

In Orlando Ivee worked as an Associate Producer at the NBC affiliate WESH 2 News for a year before taking a job with WKCF TV - CW 18 as a spokesperson for the Backlot Crew promotions team.

She did several other internships and television production jobs before graduating from the University of Central Florida with a BA in Radio-Television Broadcasting and a minor in Athletic Training.

Ivee enjoys spending time outdoors, in or on the water, surfing, flying, traveling, cooking and hanging out with friends and family. She is also into cars. She takes pride in the fact that she can do her own oil changes and tire rotations and that she prefers to drive a car with a manual transmission. Ivee also still enjoys helping her family out with odds and ends at the airstrip back home.

Ivee, along with the rest of the Aero-News and Aero-TV crew, welcomes your ideas for future ANN and Aero-TV stories and programming... be sure to drop us a line via the link below!
