The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will make AirVenture a part of its 50th year performance schedule in 2020.
The announcement was officially made at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) convention in Las Vegas. AirVenture, the 68th annual EAA fly-in convention is July 20-26. The Snowbirds are currently scheduled to have a public practice session over the grounds on Friday, July 24, with full performances during the daily afternoon air show on Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26. The DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase (DSAS) has been studying results, comments, surveys and statistics from the recently concluded 2019 event, that despite having to contend with some less than hospitable treatment from Mother Nature, is now readying for the 2020 event, next November 12-14 of 2020. It will be the fifth rendition of this successful growing event. Harbour Air, North America's largest seaplane airline and magniX, the company powering the electric aviation revolution, have announced the very short but otherwise successful flight of what they call the world's first all-electric commercial aircraft. The
successful flight of the ePlane, a six-passenger DHC-2 de Havilland Beaver powered by a 750-horsepower magni500 propulsion system, took place on the Fraser River at Harbour Air Seaplanes terminal in Richmond (YVR South) Tuesday morning. The plane was piloted by Harbour Air CEO and founder Greg McDougall. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
