Textron to Debut Beechcraft Denali at AirVenture 2023

King Air ÷ 2

Textron Inc., the Providence, Rhode Island-based conglomerate and parent company of Cessna, Beechcraft, Hawker, Bell Helicopter, Lycoming Engines, and Pipistrel, will debut its clean-sheet Beechcraft Denali single-turboprop-engine business aircraft at the upcoming EAA AirVenture fly-in and air-show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The aircraft’s presence at the event is intended to afford customers, members of the media, and aviation enthusiasts opportunity to lay eyes on Textron’s entry in a lucrative, luxury single turboprop market currently dominated by Pilatus’s PC-12, Piper’s M500 and M600/SLS, and Daher’s TBM 910 and 960 aircraft.

Beechcraft’s Denali is a seven-to-nine passenger, low-wing, T-tail aircraft powered by a single 1,300-shaft-horsepower General Electric Catalyst turboprop. The powerplant is a reverse-flow, free-turbine, single-annular combustor design evocative of Pratt & Whitney’s famed PT-6A turboprop family. The mill’s compressor derives of General Electric’s T700 turboshaft engine and features four axial stages and a single centrifugal stage conforming to the selfsame 3D aerodynamic design inherent its maker’s mighty GE9X turbofan engine—by which Boeing’s 777X is to be motivated.

Textron sets forth the Denali will have a Vne of 285-knots, a four-passenger/single-pilot range of 1,600-nautical-miles, and a service-ceiling of FL310.

The Denali’s cockpit is to be fitted with Garmin’s G3000 avionics suite.

AirVenture attendees will be able to view the Beechcraft Denali at Textron Aviation’s EAA AirVenture booth #78.

In addition to the Denali, Textron’s AirVenture static-displays will include:

  • Cessna Citation CJ3+
  • Beechcraft King Air 360
  • Beechcraft Baron
  • Beechcraft Bonanza
  • Cessna Grand Caravan EX
  • Cessna Turbo Stationair
  • Cessna Turbo Skylane
  • Cessna Skyhawk
  • Beechcraft T-6C Texan II (on Boeing Plaza Tuesday through Thursday only)

Textron’s AirVenture 2023 campaign will also feature exhibits by the conglomerate’s McCauley Propeller, Textron eAviation, Bell, and E-Z-GO subsidiaries, to include:

  • McCauley newly certified Beechcraft King Air 300 series propeller
