FAA's Rich Swayze To Keynote NBAA's International Operators Conference

Assistant Administrator To Address Emerging International Aviation Policy

FAA Assistant Administrator for Policy, International Affairs and Environment Rich Swayze will serve as a keynote speaker for NBAA’s 2016 International Operators Conference (IOC2016), set for March 21 to 24 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in San Diego, CA.

“Assistant Administrator Swayze’s remarks will focus on current and emerging international aviation policy issues that will impact business aviation,” said Doug Carr, NBAA vice president of regulatory and international affairs. “We look forward to hearing his perspective on these important topics and appreciate his willingness to engage the business aviation community and participate in this event.”

Prior to joining the FAA, Swayze was the professional staff member for the Aviation Operations, Safety and Security Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, where he handled FAA issues, as well as aviation issues related to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Prior to that, Swayze worked for the Government Accountability Office (GAO) leading transportation research projects.

“Flying safely, securely, efficiently and legally is top of mind for the increasing number of NBAA members that are operating outside the U.S.,” noted Craig Hanlon, NBAA’s IOC chairman. “In such a complex and dynamic landscape, it’s of paramount importance for us to provide business aircraft operators the tools and information on international operations that they need. IOC2016 is one of those tools.”

NBAA’s International Operators Conference is one of the best sources for operational and regulatory information that is critical for anyone involved in business aircraft planning, operations and flying in the international arena. Over four days, attendees will learn from world-class training providers, handlers and operators that fly globally.
