EADS North America Names Tina Jonas To Board Of Directors

Served As Undersecretary Of Defense - CFO And Comptroller

Tina Jonas has been appointed to EADS, North America's Board of Directors. Jonas has held a number of senior positions in both the public and private sector, having served the Department of Defense from 2004 to 2008 as Undersecretary of Defense-Chief Financial Officer and Comptroller, as well as in numerous leadership positions in the defense and aerospace industry.

"Tina brings tremendous defense industry understanding and a commitment to results that will serve us well," said EADS North America's Chairman and CEO Sean O'Keefe. "She is an experienced leader who has demonstrated the ability to make organizations more robust and productive. Tina has spent a career leading enterprises to higher levels of success in ways that also reflect our company's fundamental principles of strategy, integrity and accountability."

Jonas currently serves as President of Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI), and as a Senior Vice President of Optum Health based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jonas also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Aerospace Corporation based in Los Angeles, California and the Board of Directors of Lasermax, based in Rochester, New York.

Prior to serving as Undersecretary of Defense, Jonas held a variety of high-visibility public service positions that included Assistant Director and Chief Financial Officer for the FBI, and professional staff member on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Defense Subcommittee.

She holds several awards, including the Silver Anvil for Public Communications, the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, and accolades from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Army, the Navy, and the Coast Guard.

Jonas received a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University in 1995 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arizona State University in 1982. She attended the Kennedy School of Government's program for Senior Managers in Government at Harvard University.
