Gulfstream 'Significantly' Enhances Sales Support For Its Parts Customers

Gulfstream Parts Sales Representation Increases Six-Fold With API Agreement

Gulfstream Aerospace has entered an agreement with Aerospace Products International (API) that will effectively increase Gulfstream's worldwide sales representation sixfold. API, a subsidiary of First Aviation Services, Inc., has an industry-leading customer sales force and is a leading provider of supply-chain management solutions for the aerospace industry.

The agreement brings the services of 33 API sales representatives to supplement the five external full-time, Gulfstream parts sales representatives who are responsible for the company's parts sales worldwide.

"We entered this agreement in the best interest of our customers," said Larry Flynn, president, product support, Gulfstream. "The immediate increase in the scope and capabilities of the sales team will enable our sales representatives to provide improved customer service and gain a better understanding of the customers' needs.

"We have always been committed to building strong working relationships with each and every one of our customers. We now have increased our ability to make that happen more rapidly and efficiently," he added.

All 38 parts sales representatives, who will have day-to-day contact with customers within their assigned scope of responsibility, will be in place beginning April 15.
