Air Legends Bringing ‘Flight Of The Cats’ To AirVenture 2025

Grumman Fighters To Fly In Daily Air Shows, Displayed On Boeing Plaza

The Air Legends Foundation announced it will bring to EAA’s AirVenture 2025 in Oshkosh four of the most famous fighter aircraft of the period extending from World War II to Korea: its ‘Cat’ series of single-engine piston fighters, with the lone twin-engine in the group being the F7F Tigercat.

The ‘Flight of the Cats’ as they are collectively known, will be among the highlights of the warbirds gathering at the 72nd edition of the AirVenture fly-in and convention at Wittman Regional Airport (OSH) in Wisconsin, running from July 21-27, 2025.

The aircraft – the F4F-3 Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, F7F Tigercat, and the F8F Bearcat – will be parked on Boeing Plaza in the Warbirds of America area at different times through the week, as well as flying in the daily air shows.

Rick Larsen, Vice President of Communities and Member Programs for EAA, who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions, said, “This unmatched collection from the Air Legends Foundation matches perfectly with AirVenture’s emphasis on aviation technology during the period extending from World War II to the Korean Conflict.

"To have all of them at Oshkosh and in the air at the same time will undoubtedly be one of those ‘Only at Oshkosh’ moments for which AirVenture is famous.”
