CAE Las Vegas Training Center to Open 04 April

Training on the Western Front

Founded in 1947, CAE Inc., formerly Canadian Aviation Electronics, is a Canadian manufacturer of simulation and modeling technologies and training services to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, healthcare specialists, and defense sector customers. The company operates a global network of manufacturing and training facilities and boasts annual revenues of $2.7-billion.

On 31 March 2023, CAE issued media invitations to the 04 April official opening and inauguration of CAE Las Vegas, a new 50,000-square-foot training facility located in Nevada’s Clark County near Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International Airport. The facility, CAE’s first training center west of the U.S. Continental Divide, is capable of accommodating up to eight full-motion flight simulators, seven of which are currently in operation.

Over the coming decade, the new CAE Las Vegas facility is expected to contribute $220-million to Nevada’s economy. By offering state-of-the-art training on 8 full-motion flight simulators, the new simulator installation will increase CAE’s systemic pilot training capacity to better meet the high demand for initial and recurrent aviator training.

The post COVID growth of the business aviation sector has occasioned unprecedented demand for new pilots of business aircraft—many of which surpass airliners in both cockpit sophistication and outright performance. Current industry estimates set forth that the U.S. pilot pipeline must annually produce 2,500 new business jet pilots to meet projected segment demand.

CAE executives and local dignitaries will be on hand to answer questions and grant interviews at the Las Vegas training center’s opening. What’s more, journalists and attendees—in addition to excellent photo and video opportunities—will be afforded tours of the new facility and simulator demonstrations.

A trusted and perennial technology concern, CAE digitalizes the physical world for purpose of developing simulation training and critical operations support solutions for professionals in critical roles—primarily aircraft pilots. Worldwide, CAE employs some 13,000 employees across more than two-hundred sites and training locations in forty countries. CAE’s simulators instantiate the culmination of 75-years of intensive research and innovation and are broadly considered the world’s highest-fidelity flight and mission simulation devices. Nevertheless, CAE remains perpetually about the work of developing new generations of cutting-edge, digitally immersive training and critical operations solutions.
