EAA And NATA Congratulate Duffy On Senate Confirmation

Groups Look Forward To Working  With Transportation Secretary

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) issued statements of congratulations following Sean Duffy’s Senate confirmation with strong bipartisan support as the next U.S. Secretary of the Department of Transportation.

Curt Castagna, President and CEO of NATA said in his statement:

“NATA congratulates Secretary Sean Duffy on his confirmation to lead the U.S. Department of Transportation and looks forward to partnering with him to further the safety and efficiency of our National Airspace System, while preserving the essential services our industry provides to thousands of diverse communities across the nation.

“During his confirmation hearing, Secretary Duffy demonstrated a commitment to these shared goals and a willingness to engage with Congress and industry stakeholders to ensure continued U.S. global aviation leadership. Secretary Duffy’s leadership will be critical to timely implementation of Congressionally mandated reforms to improve Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) efficiency and modernize regulatory oversight for NATA’s more than 3700 members. We stand ready to assist Secretary Duffy and his team with this important work.”

Jack J.Pelton, CEO and Chairman of the Board of EAA issued this statement:

“EAA looks forward to working with Secretary Duffy on matters important to the general aviation community. General aviation is in its safest period in history amid renewed growth, and we look forward to continuing this progress with the new administration. We hope that Secretary Duffy’s swift nomination and confirmation is followed by that of a new FAA Administrator in the near future.”
