International Precision Teams To Fly Down The Hudson River

U.K. Red Arrows Joining The Blue Angels, Thunderbirds And F-35 Demonstration Team For New York International Air Show

An impressive display of military precision demonstration teams from the U.S. and U.K. will fly down the Hudson River and over the Statue of Liberty on August 22 in advance of the New York International Air Show.

Airshow News reports that the teams will join together for the flyby at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The flight will be led by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in a six-ship delta formation, followed by the U.K. Red Arrows in their signature battle 9 aircraft wide formation. The Red Arrows will be followed by two F-35s and then the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in a delta formation.

The aircraft will approach from the North and fly south to New York Harbor, where they will make a sweeping turn and then fly back up the river for a second pass. They will then fly over the West Point Military Academy before landing at New York Stewart International Airport.

The Blue Angels and the Red Arrows will be headlining the New York International Air Show this weekend. The show will also include the northeast debut of the F-35 demo team.
